March 2: My gauge is 40 sts and 50 rows per 4 in instead of 30 sts & 40 rows as the pattern calls for and the yarn/needle combination suggests.

But the resulting fabric isn’t crazy dense or hard for me to work so I’m going forward with this gauge, adapting the pattern’s numbers as needed.
