Notes

Second year of auctioning off my knitting skills at my work’s annual Christmas auction fundraiser for Centraide/United Way. The same person won the auction as the year before and again requested something for her daughter. But this time I got to choose the project.

I initially planned on making bunny slippers, but I had issues with the pattern I was using and finding useful sizing information.

This pattern is super fun and fast to knit. About a day if I had all the supplies in one place, or over a weekend if bumming yarn/batting from a friend. The pattern calls for a worsted weight yarn so my bunny came out at around 6.5” (not including ears) instead of the 8” in the pattern. But a nice size for a kid. Not too big and cumbersome to carry around.

I made some changes to the dress. I converted it to knit in the round (took out 3 sts garter border) and took out stitches from the skirt to accommodate the smaller size of my bunny (54 sts). I worked 2 stitches between paired decreases in the decrease row and 4 less stitches in the center section of the bib.
