Modifications:

• Cast on 96 sts on a size 7 needle (down from an 8) and join to work in the round
• Work K2,P2 ribbing for 4 1/4 inches
• Work stst (knit every row) until hat measures 8” total
• Turn work inside out (purl side is out)
• Divide sts evenly on circular needle (48 sts each side), place removable stitch marker between halves -- just to make sure you don’t lose your place.
• Cast off using three needle bind off. Weave in ends.
• Turn hat right side out and you are done!
