4/17/2019 received pattern
4/18/2019 winding yarn
4/19/2019 played around with gauge swatch; found pattern error in row 9 of quince lace
4/20-23/2019 sort of “on pause” while I work on other projects
4/24/2019 finally cast on!
I used a size 6 needle to cast on and moved down to size 5 tips for the actual shawl to obtain pattern gauge (because I am using light fingering weight yarn.)
Easy peasy eyelet section.
The quince lace is also quite easy to knit.
This is going to be a quick knit!

5/4/2019 cast off using lace cast off (knit 2, return 2 sts to left needle and knit these 2 sts together thru back loop, continue as k1, return 2 sts to left needle and knit these 2 sts together thru back loop until all sts are cast off)
5/5/2-10 blocking

TEST SURVEY:
Please answer these questions for your completed and Blocked project.

Which yarn did you use and approx how much yarn did you use? Seven Sisters Arts Meridian, light fingering weight - Used 25-26g (125-130 yds) of each CC1-6. Used 66g (306 yds) of MC. Total yarn used 1076 yds
Were you able to obtain gauge? which needle size did you use? size 6 for the cast on; size 5 for the body of the shawl
Did you work from the written or charted instructions? Both -- but primarily from the chart -- used the written instructions to verify the chart
Were the instructions clear, easy to follow? mostly -- need to clarify that the yarn color change occurs on row 1 and 11. Perhaps a little diagram of the MC and CC color blocks. And a diagram of the shawl outline and dimensions are helpful for blocking.
Did the project come out to the size specified? on the blocking wires -- 90” along top edge x 19” deep. Off the blocking wires — 88” long x 18” deep
Were there any errors in the pattern? yes -- but they were corrected during the testing process
Approx how many hours did it take you to knit this project? 34 hours
Were there any parts, instructions, charts, abbreviations in the pattern that were unclear? same as answer above - need to clarify that the yarn color change occurs on row 1 and 11. Perhaps a little diagram of the MC and CC color blocks. And a diagram of the shawl outline and dimensions are helpful for blocking.
How difficult would you rate this project to knit, and why? easy to medium because of the lace and color changes
