As I’m knitting this cowl, the yarn reminds me of my favorite childhood gum--Fruit Stripe!

And the pattern reminds me of an accordion, hence “squeeze box.”

I followed the pattern but no bind off was specified so I knit the decrease bind off (ktbl). I knit 6 eyelet rows.

I only used 1.7 oz of my 4.3 oz skein which I’d say is ~150 yds! The handspun was fingering/sport weight.

While there’s a little bit of rolling of the edges on the cowl, I like how it stands up on its own which means it’s a cowl that I could see myself wearing for more than just the prettiness factor.

Honestly, this was a quick and pretty simple knit which would make it perfect for gifts!
