Notes

I knitted this amazingly beautiful Oak leaf for my very dear friends Grace and Yoav, for thier new house. Thier last name is Alon - Oak, in Hebrew.

I must say, when I first looked at the chart I was a bit concerned about misreading it or mix-up the different stitches… BUT it turned out just fine.

Before anything else, I’ve colored each row of the chart acording to it’s reading direction and even added some arrows to make sure I’ll read it (and knit it) properly. I also highlighted the “no stitches” in order to make my work easier.

I started knitting only after the chart was completely organize and clear to me. I think that’s the most important recommendation regarding this project.

I haven’t made even one mistake (!!!). This is the kind of project in which you need to pay a very close attention to the pattern while knitting.

The leaf came out BEAUTIFUL! It knitted up quickly and was so satisfying to actually see the stitches coming togeather to a leaf!
