Notes

08/16 Dried and blocked, the scarf looks much nicer, but I’m still not 100% happy with it. I’d suggest you cast on very loosely, otherwise the strands from the CO edge will be too tight, causing the strands from the closest purl rows to bunch up rather than drape. It looks pretty good when worn, which is my only consolation.

08/15 Found it getting a bit too large and unwieldy in the cotton yarn, so stopped at the 2nd ball of yarn. Bound off using the suggestion of binding off the knit sections, purling the purl sections with a spare dpn, and dropping the stitches afterwards. My cast on appears to have been a little too tight, as the strands are a bit too tight there, but I can’t seem to fix it. Has been soaked and is currently on a drying rack. We’ll see what happens after blocking!

08/08 Cast on this scarf a week ago. Simple pattern, great auto-pilot knitting. About 9” knitted thus far. One ball of yarn down, two to go.
