Notes

04 Jul 10 Sewed in the ends while watching the Marco Polo arc of the First Doctor. Well, the first two episodes. It doesn’t take me that long to sew in ends.

30 June 10 Finished! The crochet part. I have to weave in all the ends from the base of the windows and upward. Sigh.

14 Feb 10 This is taking forever, but I’m not too surprised. ^_^

31 Dec 09 Coming along nicely. I had to alter my chart so that the panels looked more like the size I wanted, but no biggie. This is going to be HUGE; I love it! ^_^

21 Dec 09 Ripped it back to the beginning of the dark blue to change to the new yarn. The weight difference between the two was just too obvious, even though they’re both worsted.

18 Dec 09 And I’ve ripped out the whole thing and started over. xD The single crochet was driving me INSANE. I’m now doing two rows dc, one row sc. Hopefully that won’t drive me AS bonkers.

28 Nov 09 Altered the chart a bit to provide more of the light blue background. It was just too much dark blue. O_o;;

27 Nov 09 23:23 Finally finished the chart. In MS Paint. I deserve an award or something. I wanted a picture, so you get the crappy condensed jpg version of the lovely png file I have. Ravelry doesn’t want to upload my png one.

27 Nov 09 This is going to take a lot more math than I originally thought. xD I need to change the chart so that it makes a decent-sized blanket and not a way-too-long door-shaped blanket.

I AM MAKING A TARDIS BLANKET AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME RAAAWR! I am seriously SO excited for this; it’s a bit scary.

Finally adding a note! I do not plan on writing up a pattern for this, however I’ve checked my photos that I’ve uploaded here and this is what I’ve come up with:

Either fsc 145 or ch 146 and sc in second ch and across to 145 st (thanks me, for writing that in the chart!)

Begin following the chart. It looks like for mine I did some extra light blue on the sides.

Each square of the chart is 5 stitches wide, and 3 rows tall (2dc rows followed by 1sc row). I did NOT want to do 210 rows of sc (plus the proportions weren’t right) so I figured out what I wanted to do.

I’ll have to look on my old computer to see if I have a better version of the chart, so you can clearly see the boxes that aren’t full width. I know the middle of the X is only 3 stitches wide, if that helps.

I carried the colors I wasn’t using underneath the ones I was using. I picked a random tutorial from the internet to explain. I only carried them as far as I needed them; so I didn’t carry the white the full width of the blanket, as you can’t see in photo 5. You can see where I carried the white in the top two where the words are.

I hope this helps! Maybe if I find an uncompressed version of that picture I’ll write it up more officially and share it for free. :)
