3/21/12 Ha! Finished the day of her birthday. The icing had me saying things like “I am going to burn the house down” near the end. I’m rubbish at piping icing on a real cake, so it makes sense I can’t do it with yarn on a fake cake.

3/20/12 Stumbled on this while wildly browsing patterns. It is super cute! Front/layer panel was knocked out in no time using random stash bits. I was able to finish all the panels in one evening. I was getting frustrated with the popcorn piping (it didn’t look nearly as cute as the picture!), hopefully I’ll be able to finish it all tomorrow.
