The Loopy Ewe in Fort Collins, Colorado

As always I was thrilled to find a new shawl pattern by Kirsten Kapur and I cast on as soon as the pattern was downloaded.

I LOVED knitting this shawl - Thalia is a well written pattern and even though the body of the shawl is not charted I was able to follow the written instructions without any difficulty or fault. This is an easy and relaxing - TV watching - knit project (suitable for beginner lace knitters).

I was concerned about running out of yarn right throughout this project (I had only 1 skein of this yarn). I started row 1 of the border chart with 55gr remaining, and finished the edging/bind off with just 7 grams remaining.

The finished shawl measures 49 inches wide by 20 inches deep.

I will definitely be casting on for another Thalia shawl.
