About 1” up the crown I ran out of 1 skein of moorland and continued with 2 strands of moorland and 1 strand of sock yarn

row 4 k2tog YO buttonhole in 2nd purl from end
1 row 1x1 ribbing knitting into YO of buttonhole
2 more rows 1x1 ribbing
on RS purl purl 1 row, turn bind off 7 st above buttonhole
begin working crown in stockinette joining and working in the round until 6” from beginning or desired height
