Ok, this is confession time.

This lovely cat was intended to be a polar bear.
But when I looked at the finished animal I just thought: this looks like a cat. The resemblance got even more striking when I tried tweaking the ears into a pointed shape. Ok, why not, I thought, sewed the ears into shape and added a tail.
And voilà, a cat!

Actually I think it’s the size of the eyes in relation to the body - they are too big and too close together.

The shawl is knitted, obviously.
