Lovely and very satisfying pattern that is quickly worked and incredibly feminine but still warm.
A real winner in my book!

My main mod was to use the brim of ‘my’ Quadrifurcus hat pattern, just because I like the short row brim that looks better with a low pony tail (now that my hair has grown longer).
It was easy to do: I cast on 128 sts for the size small with 2,5mm needles and continued with the same stitch count with Joji’s pattern on 4mm needles. To make the patterns meet up nicely I just had to slip the first st of the beginning of the round to the right needle and make it my last stitch.
I also made the brim a little bit shorter by omitting 2 sets of short rows (one in each set of the brim pattern), because I thought that I would run out of yarn…

For the lacy stitch pattern I didn’t do any mods at all and worked with the chart.
The pompom was a really old recycled one from an ancient hat that found a new happy relationship with this perfect hat!

I really loved the rustic, wooly, slightly variegated hand-dyed yarn for this project because it gave the texture much more depth and the whole hat got more structure.
And the colour is really very flattering for a hat!

All in all - this is another Christmas gift that I would love to keep for myself!!!
