Found this really old 80’s yarn from a friend of my mom who owned a LYS 30 years ago….
Thick & thin, variegated, pearly…. need I say more???
But it is a cotton/viscose mix that is really cool and nice against the skin and very light… I will try to knit this up and if the colour is too horrible I will dye it black!
I make a stockinette version (I wanted to try this since I made the pattern) - I just ignore all texture related notes in the pattern.
At the sides after separating the sleeves I made a 8sts large section in reverse stockinette (to keep things interesting).
I followed the decreases as described…
The first increase was also done as written.
Second increase is done in-midst the reverse stockinette panel (p4, inc: 2 sts knit, p4)
k10 rounds (reversed stockinette panels: p4, k2, p4)
Third & fourth increases are done in the same round, again in the reverse stockinette panel:
(p2, inc 2 knit sts, p2, k2, p2, inc 2 knit sts, p2).
All increases are done with hidden inc to avoid holes, since they are right next to each other.
Then I continued knitting for another 18 rnds.
(Now the reversed stockinette panel has become a ribbed panel: p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2)
Ribbing: with 3mm needle: 2k, 2p rib for 15 rnds.
