I actually followed the pattern… only 3 minor changes, well maybe 4.

The pattern is very well written.

Changes:

1. Yarn - 2 strands of sock wool, nice and soft.
2. Cast on fewer stitches for the cuffs and made increases on the first rows instead to make the cuffs fit better
3. Narrower garter stitch stripe on the sides
4. Made the arms a bit wider at the top. Consequently had to juggle the numbers a bit for the yoke part…

Result:
He likes it!
The back fits perfectly, the armlength is perfect for riding a bicycle or writing on a keyboard (a bit on the long side when just standing as seen on the photo)
The yoke is a bit too long/large at the front. Maybe I’ll make more short-row-shaping next time around.
