Notes

I intended to make it as written but then I ended up changing and adding things as I went along.

I made XL for a more snug fit but also to account for any stretch that may occur over time.

My notes:

Upper panel:
Leave long tail at beginning to sew shoulder seam.

R1: ch 12, dc in 4th ch from hook and in next 8 chs.
R2: ch 3, dc in st (counts as inc), dc to last st, 2 dc. 8 sts
Rep R2 until 40 sts.

Fasten off first one.
Second one, turn.

Combine two upper panels for bodice:

Ch 3, dc along first one, ch 1, make sure second one is facing the same way as first one, dc along second one.

After dragonfly motif rows including the dc in ch sp row. Dc for 11 rows.

Ch 3. sk st, ch 1, hdc in next st rep to end.

Fasten off first one.
With second one, ch 3 and turn. Dc in dc and dc in ch. Then dc in dc and chs of the first one to join to two pieces together. Sl st to beg ch 3.

Working in the round:
Ch 3, dc, 2 dc in next st, sc in next 2 sts rep to end. Sl st to beg ch 3.

Ch 3, dc to end.

Repeat last row for a total of 16 rows.

Ch 3, sk st, hdc next st, ch 1 rep ending with sl st to beg ch. Turn.

Ch 1, sc in ch sp, 6 dc in next ch sp rep to end. Sl st to beg sc to join.

Neck edging:

Back:

R1: Sc in side of row, ch 3 rep down for 15 loops, dont sc in side of row, sl st into dc in the middle, dont sc in first row, ch 3, sc in next side of row for 15 loops.

Fasten off.

Front:

Do R1 of back.

Ch 1 turn. Sc in ch sp, 6 dc in next ch sp x7, sk ch sp, sk sl st, sk next ch sp, 6 sc in next ch sp, sc in next ch sp rep to end. Sl st in sc. Work in the round. Sc 4 along shoulder seam. Sleeves:

Sk first side of row at bottom, attach yarn and ch 4, (dc, ch1, dc) in next side of row, ch 1, dc in next side of row, ch 1 rep x14, ending with dc in seam, ch 1, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next side of row, ch 1, dc in next side of rowx14. Ch 4, turn.

Ch 4, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch sp of v st, ch 1, dc in dc, ch 1 rep ending with dc in dc. Turn.

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing the bottom seam. Stitch down the sleeve together and stop before the last two rows. Move the sides of those rows down to meet the seam of the bodice. Stitch into place by sewing into center, then to the left and back to center, and to the right and back to center.

Tie loose bow with yarn at shoulder seam where the sc 4 gap is, attach it over both scs.
