CO 102 st garter back and forth 6 rows. Cast off 6 st.

Add a strand of kid mohair - Switch to 7 needle. then do espalier stitch on the 96 (multiple of 6 )

2 rows of trellis pattern then change to size 8 needle.
2 more rows of trellis pattern.

continue knitting to desired depth (32 more rows here) then start k3t (or sl2 k1 sl 2 over) every 8 stitches, every other row knit.

at 12 or so st gather all on a darning needle and finish with a nice little belly button/nipple.

sew down the brim flap and sew on a pretty button as faux closure to finish.
