started with 3 rows of stockinette, then attempted brioche for the first time. oops - but interesting effect! so - continued as -

doing actual full yarnovers and picking up thru the back of stitches to twist the yo’s made the first section….
Round a: YO, slip one purlwise, knit 2 together (one knit stitch and one YO), repeat until the end of round.
Round b: Purl 2 together (one purl stitch and one YO), YO, slip one purlwise, repeat until the end of round.

then did a k row with grey yarn, knitting every stitch so ended up with 1/3 more stitches, followed with a p row in green, k2t every other stitch to get back to original 72.

then began REAL BRIOCHE in blue yarn - so 2 color brioche - and looking like a mohair emerald….
