I made this immediately after the Basic DC top cuz I needed something a tad larger to fit Sera. I used the same yarn, CSS, and a larger hook (I/9/5.5mm instead of H/8/5mm) and the top is nice looking and fits with a bit of ease on both Sera and Allie. Lacie is wearing a dress and I didn’t feel like undressing her to try on the top.

Even with the I/9 hook the SC makes a heavy, rather stiff fabric. It will last and launder well, but I’d prefer a fabric with a little bit of drape. I’ll try this hook/pattern combo again with a lighter weight yarn.

And I’ll make the DC top again with a larger hook (I/9/55mm)
