I am so chuffed with the cables I’ve been knitting I am totally out of control! I just finished the Lion Brand Level 3 Knit Hat last night and I started on this one right away!

I dug out some Sincerely for this hat and I like it. I’m using a smaller needle, so the hat doesn’t have the same cushy hand as the hat in Willow Burrow, but that could be due to the wool content of that yarn. This Sincerely is nice for an acrylic, but it just isn’t wool. The hat is a big snug, so next one I’ll use a size 9 needle!

The pattern is really easy, with cable crosses on every other row, very little purling cuz it’s knit in the round so all the rows are front side rows. This lets me read the charts a lot faster, as I don’t have to translate in my head for wrong side rows. :)

When I got to the decreases, I totally missed the decrease-cable in round 3. Will have to be sure I catch this next time I make the hat.
