Top-down socks with a big balloon on the leg and a string winding across the foot. Looks pretty simple, so I’m gonna jump on it and see how fast I can get them done. Looking for yarn tonight; will cast on tomorrow. ;D

Decided to use a striped Regia that I got in trade from a Raveler who didn’t like the way this yarn knit up. It sure looks like a circus color to me - perfect for the It clown!

My socks won’t count for points as I made some mods: I changed the rev stockinette st balloon to garter st - it shows up better. I used a flap and gusset heel, not the heel in the pattern. I quit following the pattern for the string and just winged it. The written explanation of the twisted sts was reversed in the pattern and I followed them.
