Notes

I got this yarn in a trade and it had socks already started. They were too small for me, so I had to frog the started socks so I could use the yarn. in April 2019, the group had a challenge to frog something and use the yarn to make socks. I chose this yarn to make some shortie socks for my caregiver.

But I didn’t finish in April cuz these plain socks were SO boring! They got put aside and I finished them at the end of June. They fit and Caregiver #2 was happy to get them. Yay!!

And!!! These shorties only took 49 grams of yarn, so I can make another pair of shorties from the leftover. Win/Win

About the pattern - this is a new-to-me heel and I still don’t have an opinion. I don’t think the gusset is long enough to fit my high instep or deformed foot, but the socks seem to fit Rhonda just fine. The heel was easy to knit, even tho I had to fudge a bit cuz I used 60 sts instead of 58 or 62. Now that the socks are done, I probably could have used the 58 sts and they would have still fit fine.
