Pattern calls for SuperSaver and size 10 needles. I used RH Soft and the size 10 needles were too big. next time I’ll use 9 or maybe 8. Hat was plenty big around, so won’t have to alter number of sts. Decreases done in 4 sections, odd since hat has 5 repeats. Next time do decreases in 5 sections like the hearts.

I messed up with the cables. Didn’t read the key carefully, just looked at the chart and did all the purl crosses as knits. Dunno that it was easy to spot, but will know better next time.

Hat was completed in one sitting. Easy to do, simple to follow chart. I made project #4. This hat was the Feb Beg knit hat for the DozenHats in 2014 group.
