I used the tiny balls of leftover cotton yarns from my years of making dishies and a significant number of buttons from my stash. After sewing the buttons on by hand for the first batch, I had Stephanie drag out my sewing machine and tried to reacquaint myself with it. After a lot of not-so-great trial and error, I finally got into the groove and sewed on 20 buttons tonight. Whew!

Bruce is going back to the vet tomorrow (Weds, May 20, 2020) for bloodwork to check that the arthritis meds he got 2 weeks ago are not damaging his kidneys. I’m taking 10 of these ear-savers with me for the vets and staff there. I’ve been going to this vet for well over 40 yrs and I feel like the folks there are family. My original vet has mostly retired now and I like the current vets just as much.

I will be making more of these ear-savers and will be carrying them around as I go out and about more. So many people would love to have something like this and I certainly have more cotton than I will ever knit up into dishies!
