Notes

I LOVE THIS PATTERN! I have made a lot of the free patterns from Lily and Bernat, but I kept skipping over this one because the photo with the pattern was so poorly executed. This pattern is lovely in a solid color, and unintelligible in variegated. I took the time to look at other finished projects and discovered just how wonderful this pattern is. I couldn’t wait to make it!

Tips for K4tbl: slip 4 sts, one at a time, K-wise from L to R needle. Insert left needle tip into the front of the first 2 sts on right needle, knit off and slip new st to R needle. Slip 2nd and 3rd sts on R needle over the new st.

Tips for K4tog: I found it easiest to make this st using a crochet hook. Slip next 4 sts p-wise from L needle to R needle. Turn work and transfer sts to crochet hook. YO and pull thru all the sts on the hook, then place new st onto L needle (remember we are at the back of the work). Turn work to right side, snug up yarn on last stitch.
