I bought this yarn to make the Red Heart Citrus Smootie afghan but the colors are too deep and I didn’t think the squares looked at all like orange or lemon slices. :( Then I decided that this ‘ghan would work well with the deeper colors and dug right in. The pattern is very easy, alternating 2 rows of SC with 2 rows of DC and repeating the 5 colors in the same sequence. The striped center has a border of smallish granny squares and should be a eyeful when finished.

I ran out of one color yarn just as I was starting the granny squares for the border. found some yarn and made a few of the squares. decided that the squares did not “feel” right with the rest of the ‘ghan. middle was all SC and DC, the squares were all open and floppy. So, I’m calling the ‘ghan done without the border of granny squares. :)
