I made these socks with 6ply yarn and referred to Jo’s pattern for the heel turn and gusset. I tried to follow the numbers for the smallest size, but the sock came out too loose with my 6ply yarn. I’ll have to reduce the number of sts for the 2nd sock. Then I’ll make Jo’s wonderful sock in the fingering wt yarn it was designed for!

6ply toe-up numbers

CO 12 sts each needle 3.0mm. Inc eor till 48 sts. start gusset inc at 4-1/2” from CO. check for fit when 7” from CO. Add 5 sts all at once on both sides of the gusset in last row before heel turn. W+T all but center 10 sts, then dec gusset sts away - 48 sts. Change to 3.25mm needles at leg and knit plain till yarn is used up.
