With size 5 needles I got 18.5 stitches/4 in and 27 rows/4 in instead of 20 sts and 32 rows/ 4 in. I think I need to go buy size 4 circulars that are at least 56 in long since at the end of the project there are about 564 stitches!

With size 4 needles, 20sts/4 in, 14 rows/2 in. Will use size 4.

9/1 Row 67 completed. I was hoping to start the CC today, but will have to wait til tomorrow.
9/2 Row 92 completed. Had a great time knitting with shbarnes86 and knitachallenge on the same pattern tonight!
9/3 Row 104 completed. Made good progress this morning, but went to a BBQ this afternoon that cramped my knitting style! Back to the old grindstone tomorrow morning, so progress will likely slow until knitting night on Wednesday!

9/8 Row 140 completed. Only one more increase to go! I did some measurements and realized how much the blocking is supposed to increase the size! I estimate the height to be about 25” before blocking. That’s a lot to increase to get to 31”. I’ve never blocked before, so we’ll see how it goes… Only another 40 rows to go!
9/9 Row 145 completed. Wow these rows take a long time to finish!
9/11 Row 152 completed. Have 25 g MC and 58 g CC left. Will have enough for rows 167-170. Still undecided on short or long lacy bind off.

9/16 Row 6 of the long lacy bind off almost completed when I realized that I had gotten off on the stitches. Will have to tear out most of the row sometime when I’m more energetic!
9/17 Fixed Row 6 of long lacy bind off. Decided to weigh remaining yarn. Realized I only have 13 g of CC and 6 g of MC left…. I don’t think I have enough yarn to complete the project! Trying to decide what to do-either 1) buy more yarn, 2) tear out what I’ve done on the lacy part (maybe I can save Rows 1 & 2???), or 3) complete in a completely different color. Hmm…
9/18 Decided to go ahead and order more yarn. Completed Row 8 and have 8 g of CC remaining.
9/19 Row 10 completed. Only 3 g left! Yarn shipped and is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday nite.
9/20 Row 11 completed. Ran out of yarn :(
9/25 More yarn arrived! Hand wound yarn. 113 g
9/26 Completed Rows 12 and 13.
9/29 Started bind off row! Am surprised that the scallops aren’t more pronounced… Will finish off tomorrow :)
9/30 Finished casting off! 88 g remaining of second skein of blue. (77% of the skein remaining-350 yards). Still need to block. About 22” deep and 44” tip to tip before blocking.
10/8 Blocked and sprayed with cornstarch juice. Approximately 62” tip-to-tip and 31” deep.
