While Spring Cleaning I came across some saved treasures from my girls’ youth. This doll was a favourite as her eyes open and close and her body gives a soft cuddle. However, she looked chilly.

I have a number of bags of different weight acrylic yarn. So I set to stitching with some baby yarn. It is a viscose / acrylic blend. The baby pink main colour is stranded with a white thread, which gives the resulting fabric an interesting effect.

The bonnet is garter stitched trimmed double seed stitch fabric. The cardigan is knit from the top down and shows off a beautiful double seed stitch around the body and arms with a stockinette stitch bodice.

It occurred to me that this ensemble is perfectly sized for a preemie as well. Pattern will be posted when I have a moment to write it up.
