Started with 72 stitches, as recommends by other users.

I usually size my needles down since I knit loosely, but based on other users who said the hat knits up tight, I used the recommended needles (swapping a 10 1/2 needle for the body instead of a 10 because I didn’t have a size 10).

I did only 3 pattern repeats (instead of the 4 that the pattern suggests) because of the bulky yarn and the large needle size.

The hat fits nicely. I probably didn’t need to add the extra 8 stitches, but it feels nice as is, so it didn’t hurt to have them.

I used yarn without a label from a rummage sale, so I don’t have any info on the weight, how much, I used or anything else. The colors are pretty and the hat was a nice pattern to show off the multiple shades of purples, greens, and browns.

The pattern was so quick! I made the hat in just a few hours.
