Notes

The third design of Primavera Book is completed:-)

bem-me-quer…mal-me-quer…it’s a highly textured shawl knitted bottom-up with a lace pattern resembling daisies. The upper body is worked with short rows creating a lovely crescent shape, perfect for wrap around your neck and shoulders.
In the end a small lace pattern is added before binding-off.

Size after blocking: 142 x 29 cm (55.9 x 11.4”)

This project is suitable for adventurous knitters used to manipulate all kind of stitches - there are knits, purls, all sort of increases, decreases, Dyo’s, elongated sts and a huge amount of sts on the needles on some rows.

This is not a traditional lace shawl per se - the construction is straightforward, but not the stitches and the techniques employed. Persistence and patience are required and knowing how to read the knitting is encouraged. Everything becomes much easier if you knit loosely (I told that to myself way too many times).

Once the bottom edging is done, the short-rows section is fairly quick (this time I used the Yo method) and so the upper lace section - it took me 2 days. But, honestly, after overcoming Chart A and making the necessary design adjustments, the knitting itself was a breeze.

That said, I think that both charts and written instructions are easy to follow and I added some photo-tutorials as well.
