This ia a heavily modified version of the Auntie Mitts pattern, since yarn strength and pattern look did not match.

Here is what I am doing:

Cast on 31 stitches (36 proved too large due to yarn strength).

row 1: k1, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1
row 2: p all stitches

Repeat rows 1 and 2.

Work as long as yarn lasts, then bind off loosely with stretchy bind-off of your choice.

Graft together sides of the flat work with kitchener stitch, leaving a thumb hole of appropriate choice.
