Cast on with a lovely little skein of yarn I found on a private flea market in Scotland, handspun by an old lady.

Okay, I do not like the way it looks. The yarn is too thin for the pattern and needle, the beanie is nearly transparent.

I ribbed the entire work again and I used a yarn from an exchange from a medieval travelling package instead. Same color, thicker, this worked out fine. I had to skip some of the knit rows in the decrease section since I ran out of wool, but the result is still fine.

I will use the Scottish wool in a different project, maybe a lace scarf. Then I would finally have cuffs, cap and scarf in the same color, even if it is 3 diffferent techniques.
