First step: wind it up.
Second step: cut the cat out of the yarn.
Third step: calm down confused cat, knot lose ends of yarn together.
Fourth step: get yarn out of cat reach.
Fifth step: argh!

21.01.2014:

Cast on! I noticed that this is the first pattern where I am really fully dependent on using stitch markers. But the first repetition of the increase section already looks fairly promising. At least, I managed three increase repetitions so far. Judgung the skein and the used wool so far, I suppose the 6-10-6 original plan will be modified.

22.01.2014:

6 repetitions of the increase, and I am nowhere close to 27,5 %. I think I may ed up with 9 or 10 repeats in the increase section. Which is fine, right now, the scarf would still be too slim.

Update: 8 repetitions ready, still not close enough. 9 it will be.

23.01.2014:

9 repetitions, 75 %, perfect. Starting straight section now.

30.01.2014:

I finished the straight section as predicted with 14 repetitions and am already into the decrease. All looks fine, as I keep weighting the yarn on the run.

Edit: …aaaand finished! Well, okay, still need to block that strange yellow-greenish boa constrictor into a scarf, but I just finished binding off.
