Cast-on!

Needle chosen is US 5 instead of US 6, since I am way on the loose knitter side. Yarn chosen is “Oktoberkraut” from Drachenwolle, a beautiful hand-dyed fingering yarn, designed for not only socks but especially also for scarf knitters. The name translates roughly to “octobre herb, which is not a correct translation. The German name is a reference to a certain plant, blossoming in octobre (yeah).

28.07.2014:

Had to pause inbetween, but I bound off today. Basically, no problems found in the final version (except one glitch which might be my own goof). Sincere is no preferred bind-off method specified, I used a croched bind-off with one ch1 between the regular stitches.

Main suggestion for editor:

Shorten written pattern lace repeat section in row 11 and 25 where the text has an internal repetition.

Finished, one self-made glitch included and repaired. Current pattern works fine.
