Lots of mods!

Have bet my my mother that this will be finished by 1st May 2010.

Have recalculated the stitches to fit a 34” bust.
I’m knitting 8 rows/inch, which I’m taking into account to mod darsana’s waist shaping mods.
After knitting 2” I’m going to decrease 4 stitches every 6 rows 4 times under the arms, knit an 1.5”, and then increase 4 stitches every 6 rows 4 times. The fully completed waist shaping should take 9” to complete before lengthening it by an inch and starting 2” of k2p2 ribbing.

(body and collar took a total of 105g. Divided the remaining 86g into 2 cakes of 40g - one for each sleeve - and one 6g cake for edging, should I wish to, haven’t decided yet)

sleeves, knitted the decreases (took me to 9.5”) knitted a row, and the 20 rows of k2p2 before binding off. (43g of yarn for both sleeves. 43g remaining)

Total meter/g used for cardi: 527m/147g
(I have enough left for a cowl)

cast on to row 30 - 17/04
row 31 to 52 (sleeve divide), + 0.5” - 18/04
1.5”, + 2 waist decreases - 19/04 (fitting really well)
2 waist decreases, 1.5” + 2 waist increases - 21/04
2 waist decreases, 1” stockinette + 0.25” k2p2 - 22/04
1.5” k2p2 ribbing and cast off, cast on of collar - 23/04
12 rows k2p2 of collar (210 stitches) - 24/04
8 rows and cast off of collar, cast on and k 15 rows of sleeve 1 (76 stitches) - 25/04
finished 4 sleeve decreases (66 stitches) - 26/04
finished sleeve (1 decrease, 1 k row, 20 rows k2p2), started sleeve 2 (11 rows and 1st decrease)- 27/04
4 decreases - 28/04
2 decreases, k1 row, 20 rows k2p2, CO - 30/04

Using some of darsana’s mods.

My mods:
1) 26 raglan increases (a la darsana)
2) cast on 6 stitches under each arm
3) knitting 2” before waist shaping decreases
4) spacing decreases 6 rows apart 4 times (3” total)
5) added an extra 1” before 1.5” k2p2 ribbing.
6) knitted the collar 2.5” in k2p2 ribbing.
7) knitted 2.5” in k2p2 ribbing on the sleeves.
8) Used Jeny’s Surprisingly stretchy Bind off for all cast off edges.
