3/1 - cast on. wanted these on the needles before the retreat over the weekend.

3/4 - can’t find my size 7 dpns! must pick up another pair now, before i can work on the legs. bummer!

3/5 - new set of DPNs in hand, these pants worked off the needles in no time. no mods, made a braided tie that’s far too long, so I’ll have to shorten it at some point. for now, they’re done and adorable, with less than a yard of yarn left over!

headmistress challenge this term is to knit a message to my future self. my message? THIS KID NEEDS SOME HAND-KNITS!

i keep thinking i’ve got tons of time to knit this little babe some hand knits, but far too soon it will be super warm out and i won’t want to knit so much - now is the time to kick the knitting in gear.

my plan is to make him/her at least five pairs of these pants - i love them so much to give as gifts, and know our little fall babe will need leg warmth far too quickly. hopefully this pair can be a reminder to me of what still needs to be done!
