Notes

This was an easy project. I loved the combination of back loop and front loop stitches to give it texture. Unfortunately, it caused a lot of frogging when I got to the end of the row and realized I’d messed up the pattern. My gauge was a bit small too, but I didn’t want to go up a hook size because the yarn I was using only had 251 yards (the pattern calls for 260). It worked out fine though and I had small ball of yarn left over.

The straps, however, turn out to be a bit loose. If they begin to stretch out more over time I will likely sew them into place.

I modified the finishing too. I just slipped stitched the two pieces together along the edges instead of sewing and left a long tail that I tucked into the pillow. This way, if I ever need to wash the cover, I can just undo the last row of slip stitches and take it off.

I used a homemade pillow form, which you can see here: http://www.shesgotthenotion.com/2014/10/how-to-sew-pillow....

I love how this pillow turned out and would definitely recommend this pattern.
