I had to start over on this project because I didn’t do the double-chain crochet stitch correctly. I ended up with way too many shells in the first round, and that’s when I realized my mistake. The directions weren’t clear to me in the pattern for the stitch, so I looked up directions online.

Restarting the pattern the correct way, I realized I wanted my scarf to be longer and bigger. So I used a hook size bigger and double chained 180 instead of 150 (In hindsight, I probably would have been happy with 165). After blocking, it turned out to be pretty long. But I’m still happy with the end result. The finished size was 80” x 6”.

It is a fairly easy project, but I rated it a medium skill level because if you’ve never done a double-chain crochet stitch, you may need to find another resource to learn how to do it.
