Notes

My niece’s first birthday was a tea party theme, so I thought a good gift idea would be some crocheted Amigurumi desserts that she can play tea party with. I found several free patterns through Ravelry that helped get the project moving forward and I had lots of stash yarn in various colors to help stash bust.

As you can tell from the pictures I had the greatest success with the donuts and the cookie. The cupcake and ice cream cone patterns were a bit cumbersome to follow for me. I’m sure it had more to do with “operator error” than anything else, but I didn’t have time to try and make more than one of each of those items.

I used some basic hand embroidery stitch techniques (running stitch and french knots) to sew on the sprinkles.
