10/6/2010 - CO per pattern. garter section very easy to memorise.

10/7/2010 - garter section completed.
10/7/2010 - later…changed mind, adding 3 additional repeats in garter pattern. NOTE: additional (or fewer) repeats of the garter section must be done in sets of 3 so the stitch count will work for the beginning of the open star section.

10/8/2010 - 2am - first rpt of open star section completed. written instructions & chart are clear and easy to follow.

10/16/2010 - (got interrupted by yarn crawl and busy wk!) third rpt done, mid-way through 4th. should be done by tonight.

10/17/2010 - finished. :D used a bind-off described by vicki mikulak (celtic hearts shawl) but slightly modified. k2, *slip first st over, pass remaining st back to left needle, knit tbl, k1*, rpt from * to end. weave in ends. (my change in bold.)

gauge: before blocking - 22st/4in
after blocking - 18st/4in
