planning intarsia colourwork with traditional colours used in zuni artwork & jewelry. two possibilities….silver fox for main body garter area, terra for first stockinette section, kelp for middle garter section, saffron for second stockinette section, cloak for garter border section or cloak for the body and border with the other colours the same.

after much contemplation and consultation…the cloak/terra/kelp/saffron/cloak option has been selected. bring on madmay! :)

easy knit, but if (or more like when) i repeat it, i’ll try a provisional cast on and work out from the center. reasoning: carried yarn for intarsia is hidden on the decrease side so the finished appearance is much more clean. also, the edges will match all the way around (all bind off, rather than half cast on and half bind off). next one will probably use silver fox, kelp and cloak.
