Notes

My dad asked me to recreate the mitten liners that the Army issued my grandfather WWII. These liners fit inside a leather outer mitten that also has it’s own “trigger finger” similar to the liners. The original pair had been worn to bits and half eaten by moths.

The Quince Chickadee in Marsh is nearly a spot-on color match for the original mitts.

I drafted the pattern based on the remnants of the original, with improvements at the obvious stress points where I found holes, including:
-- added a shallow gusset
-- grafted tops instead of seaming

Pattern coming soon.
