I should have remembered that following a knit pattern without doing any math will not yield a proper sized crochet project.

Added a ribbed cuff when done, three rows of back- and front-post stitch, with a final round of b/f-post sc, (3 sc, skip one) to tighten it up.

It’s a little stiff to be a slouchy beanie, would be perfect for someone with dreads though.

Notes for next time - start the decrease rounds straight after the light purple arc has finished crossing over the top of the eye.
