Washed - possibly shrunk ever so slightly. Second finger probably ended up with the best Warren look a like tip. So, pattern redraft and onto a proper pair. Might try the cuff on a size smaller needles and not decrease for hand. Moved the thumb as well

Just needs a wash.

Test piece finished and sufficient done to redraft a pattern that is likely to fit better. Two patterns drafted - one with a palm side thumb and a thumb bridge without a quirk. A second more cylindrical glove with a sore thumb moved palm side and a thumb quirk. The former should be a closer fit - more like a conventional glove, the latter a little looser.

Positives - floral motif, second finger pattern to complement. Best finger tip is probably forefinger but much prefer the triangular top. Hand to finger transition probably as good as can get. Stitch count for fingers about right, might just add one more stitch so tip is divisible by three exactly.

Negatives - don’t like three longer fingers all the same length. Might rework the thumb quirk about a centre line rather than triangle to make invisible. Thumb bridge just about in the right place but gusset is a bit too long and pointed. Three stitch transition between gusset and hand and at round change needs improving. Palm gusset/quirk ensures a good fit although may take a couple of stitches from thumb width for a better fitting thumb.

As sample progressed got better at working with crewel.
The springy blocking wire is probably the best way of temporarily holding stitches but will run a thread through as well. The wires are springy and stitches are easily lost when transferring back to needles. I should have perhaps opted for the thicker wires - not the ultra fine.
