Revision of the 2A pattern

Cuff stitch count kept the same at 120. Slight modification to shape of thumb gusset. Continuing to use the loop increase and taking the pattern right up to the increase rather than having an outlining stitch. Am amazed at how well this works - even when patterns change. There will be no palm gusset/quirk and will work a thumb bridge to achieve the stitch count for a good finger fit.

Pretty good fit and the most minor tweaks for final version

• change orientation of finger tip triangles so a flat edge is uppermost across finger tip palm side.
• make thumb gusset just a little narrower at base to accentuate triangular shape -move thumb by a couple of stitches to upper hand side to hopefully improve fit and eliminate the heavy stem outlining
• rob a forefinger stitch and add to second finger and make the second finger a total stitch count of 48 by adding one to each bridge as well. Put the forefinger stitch back in the bridge to keep stitch count at 45.
• Thumb two stitches wider but still decrease down to same tip size along back of thumb.
• Cuff although lovely is perhaps a little too deep so rework the pattern slightly - try out on some wristies first.

Still need to come up with a better stitch holder. Steel blocking wires too springy, copper wire ok for transfer on but off not so easy as the wire kinks and it is so wasteful as wire cannot be re-used

Plan C is to knit the temporary stitches with button hole thread and transfer to nylon line. Transfer back should be easy and then tink back the button hole thread for clean stitches.
