Notes

Note 9 - job done and very wearable. If I were to make again there are just a couple of tweaks in the thumb region that could be made but at the moment more interested in progressing the project and working something on smaller needles.

Note 8 - working through and checking the reversal for the right glove and redrafting a further pattern with a slightly narrower cuff. This can be done relatively easily by narrowing the thumb gusset at the cuff end and working increases on alternate rounds throughout. The thumb moved by a a further two stitches added at the crook end to add just a little more ease.

One glove done and just about has that made for me fit. If I were to change anything I might make the cuff just a touch smaller. Now have managed to control the tension with three colours it is generously sized.

Note 7 thumb seems pretty well spot on.
Note 6 all the fingers sit well and perfect fit. Just need to finish the thumb and hope that it is positioned so as not to have any twist or bias.
Note 5
Adding the three extra stitches to the second finger has significantly improved finger fit.
Note 4
Transfer of stitches much improved.

Note 3
Trying another method of holding the stitches at base of fingers to facilitate transfer. Knit them first with a smooth thread and then hold on 0.8mm Crystal Tec which is flexible and malleable. Ring finger done and can now see if transfer of stitches is any easier than the previous methods tried. Finger tip finish improved no end by adding one more round before the decreases commence - the blobby corners eliminated.
Note 2
Second working of cuff all in 1.2mm with two shades of gold and red looks better. Redistribution of increases at the base of the thumb neater. Now past the 3 colour work, it should grow a little more quickly

Note 1
Putting together CruWel projects 1-4 into a pair to wear - well that’s the plan.
First cuff worked in just dark gold scarlet and blue but felt that the two shades of gold and scarlet on sample project was better so reworked. Also slight modification to arrangement of thumb increases at base of thumb - backward loop does not work well if increases are on every round - best when increases are on alternate rounds.

Cuff 843 and 855 (Gold) 504 and 505 (Scarlet) 747 (Blue) + charcoal and natural white Appletons Crewel. Kreinik 104C #4 very fine braid (Colonial Gold)

Tension issues resolved and pattern probably as good as can get. Upper braid added to make cuff completely symmetrical.
