Working Warren’s Warmers in a shortened version with a smaller motif and cutting down on the number of rows working 3 colours. Adding an additional colour - silver to make more of a feature of the border section at the cuff and upper hand and making a bit more of a feature of the salt and pepper.

Trying out the patterning seen on the original around the thumb gusset - here just on one side as the thumb is asymmetric.

Using this project to finalise a pattern for a potential glove made to the approximate dimensions of the original.

Lotus border needs a bit of attention still. May decide to eliminate the lotus and work with just a scroll on future projects at this gauge. The silver with the blue did not quite come off and will work a red scroll on the other one to see if it is any better. Do like the salt and pepper detail on the cuff - it will tie in better with the thumb finish. The motif on the main part of the hand is considerably easier to work and should work well on a fingering weight glove - particularly the fingers.

Still not fond of the lotus border although a red scroll is a bit better. The grey is not silver enough and looks more like school uniform than exotic as intended. So try again! In reducing the size of the lotus the shape is less obvious now and it looks more like a heart.

As a wearable mitt it is fine, perhaps a better fit at the bottom of the thumb is possible. The thumb margin pattern is OK for inclusion in a glove on this gauge at round change but too prominent to delineate a thumb gusset.

The addition of the plait at the upper edges makes it look more polished and is substantial enough to prevent any rolling edges.

Floral motif is a bit more pansy than Mughal so might play around with that.
