Notes

After working the first version this pair has been worked in the round with 2.25mm needles for the welt and 2.00 mm needles for the main body. On the left mitt a purl has been worked at the end of the round and the increase for the thumb has been worked M1L - pick up loop from front and knit into the back. For the right M1R - pick up loop from back and knit into front. Hopefully both mitts will look like a pair in the thumb region!

The size of needles has worked out just fine and there is every indication that a slightly larger pair may be worked with 2.5mm for the welt and 2.25mm for the main body.

They are really easy to knit and a good commuter knit. The aim now is to knit a pair for each of the rainbow colours. I might try different patterns up the back. They will be given as gifts to mark the Dicken’s bicentennial.
