Notes

Rework of Hasting’s Handies with a slightly different floral motif and substituting the lotus border for a simplified scroll. Using spice inspired colours for a change.

Scroll is a much simpler decoration to work and better than the lotus. The tulip shaped flower is probably an improvement and more suggestive of the Indian sub-continent. However, probably do need the addition of a third colour in the floral motif as well. Here using the green leaf colour but probably would be better with red or gold.

Pattern placement changed ever so slightly so that the decrease either side of the thumb quirk is worked in a single colour and still fits in with the pattern. Additionally the placement of pattern wither side of the gusset is more balanced without bits of blobby backgound colour.

Dark background a change but not unpleasant. Need around 30g of the main colour for a pair. Oyster rather than white used in the salt and pepper. The colour change give a really different look and there starts another project!
